I have always loved IDEO - the most amazing global creative/design firm that applies their creative abilities on virtually any type of project (not just visual design/marketing). Tom Kelley, the general manager at IDEO, talks to Standford students about the five core practices that promote creativity and innovation in even the most boring organizations.

I have been on a coding and tweaking marathon this weekend in order to squash some remaining bugs before we open PickyList for our  beta testers (signup to be a beta tester here).  Hopefully Oct 1st.

Crazy props to  Wish TV Channel 8 for utilizing Twitter http://twitter.com/WISH_News. This micro-news format is absolutely brilliant - especially since Twitters 140 character limit doesn’t leave much room for bias or b.s. Instead we are presented with simple straight-to-the-point Indianapolis news, that is continually being updated. I never thought I would say it, but Thanks WISH-TV!

Here is a great article about the end of our universe as we know it. Fraser Cain from Universe Today summed up this excellent read in his very last paragraph. Let me summarize: Everything dies, get over it - enjoy the time that we have.

It can be said that humans have a bit of a short term view of things. We’re concerned about the end of summer, the next school year, and maybe even retirement. But these are just a blink of an eye in cosmic terms. Let’s really think big, stare forward in time, and think about what the future holds for the Universe. Look forward millions, trillions, and even 10100 years into the future. Let’s consider the end of everything.
