I usually bust Microsoft for “Not Getting It” - well by golly today they proved me wrong. “Office Accounting 2007” while the name doesn’t scream creativity, the concept does. Its an enterprise level Accounting Package that they are giving away for free (100%). This is not a trial or a “special deal”, the license is Free - No Strings Attached.

Ironically, I have been evaluating Accounting Packages for Appendant, and recently decided QuickBooks for the Mac is my only option. The problem with QuickBooks is the user experience, its a pain to work with and clunky.

In a great twist of fate, my new MacBook Pro will be showing up today - so if this application cuts the mustard, I will run it in Parallels or Dual Boot (these allows you to run Windows Applications on a Mac).

Way to go Microsoft! (I can’t believe I am saying that)
