Sid Steward & AccessPDF
I was just contacted by my good friend Sid Steward (O’Reilly’s PDF Hack fame). Letting me know that he is working on a new version of PDFTK, a killer PDF manipulation application that Print(fu) uses religiously. He asked if I had any requests! Whooo hooo. My request? XML metadata on PDFs. Right now Print(fu) uses [...]

#2 Baby! Yummy, which I have yet to really finish or even tweak, is still growing strong.
Start.com
Ok, I have to give it to Microsoft. Start.com is pretty damn slick! According to their blog they are doing some insane stuff with Javascript. It doesnt work on Safari, but it screams in Firefox. Start.com
On another note, if you are a javascript lover check out the Dojo Javascript Framework
You scrath Print(fu)’s back, and Print(fu) will scratch yours. Designer needed.
Print(fu) is going to be adding some “style” to all of the books that it produces. Namely, changing the back page of all books to be a sexy pre-printed back. (Traditional 4-color). Here is what I propose.
FOR ANY KILLER DESIGNERS:
Design the very back page, and you can have the inside back page to promote yourself. [...]
Print(fu) is running smoothly.
After a week of the new upgrades, things are running great and orders are coming in. I am hoping to have the new design done shortly, but my full time job is sucking the life out of me right now. Speaking of my full time gig, if any of you geeks are in the HR [...]
New PDF Source
On del.icio.us I came across http://dr.greenthumb.online.fr/. They have a boat load of geek focused PDFs. (Of course I emailed the guy running it to see if we can form a partnership with Print(fu)’. Check it out!
Print(fu) is now stable.
Well the changes that we made yesterday seem to have corrected a lot of the problems, and now things are running smoothly. (with the exception of grabbing the PDF title - but that can be tweaked today). You are now free to move about the cabin and resume printing.
On another note, the move to 1.5 [...]
All (fu)Hell is breaking loose! Hide the Women and Children
This is why I need a developer! It seems that I have caused a serious wound in the Print(fu) subsystem. One thing that drives me nuts about OO Programming is the ability to break an entire system with one tiny little change. This is why design and planning is a rather good idea. Unlike my [...]
Almost Free Print(fu) Books! — Opps
Well there was a minor snafu with the 1.5 upgrade. Mainly it was that I completely missed changing the payment from, testing to live. So there were a few people that managed to create a bunch of free orders! Yark. However, I did figure out - that I could get a lot more orders if [...]
Print(fu) 1.5 - almost made it to 2.0
My timeline for releasing 2.0 was —- well insane! I wanted to have the shopping cart feature, shipping options, bug fixes and the new design completely done by Monday 10/4/2005. That didn’t happen, but we did make it to 1.5b - whats this mean? Well you now can have multiple PDFs in a [...]
